About Us
A Rocky Mountain Region Tradition
Since our founding in 1998, Rocky Mountain Classics Boat Club has been hosting exclusive events at wonderful venues for members and the community. Over the years, this Boat Club has become a home away from home for many, a place to enjoy peace and serenity on the waters of the Rocky Mountain Region.
Classic Boats Come in All Forms
Not all classic boats are made of wood, and not all are powered by engines! There’s a place for them all at the Rocky Mountain Classic Boat Club.
Our parent organization, the Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS), celebrates and supports classic and antique boats of all construction types, including wood, fiberglass, aluminum, steel, and canvas. That same appreciation for boating history and craftsmanship is reflected in our club and our members.
Our members enjoy a wide variety of vessels, from beautifully crafted wooden boats and timeless metal-hulled classics to vintage fiberglass boats. We also welcome boats powered in every way imaginable, including traditional engine-powered boats, sailboats, and human-powered craft such as canoes, kayaks, and rowboats.
Steel boats have a long and rich history, aluminum boats have been around for generations, and fiberglass boats have been part of the boating world since the 1940s. Many of these vessels, regardless of construction or propulsion, have earned their place in the classic and antique boating community.
At the Rocky Mountain Classic Boat Club, it’s about the boat, the history, and the joy of being on the water—not just what it’s made of or how it moves!
Whether your passion is a wooden runabout, a classic fiberglass cruiser, an aluminum fishing boat, a vintage sailboat, or a handcrafted canoe, we invite you to join us. Share your enthusiasm, connect with fellow boating enthusiasts, and enjoy the incredible lakes and waterways of Colorado.
Whatever your boat is made of, and however you power it, you’re welcome here!
